Under the collective name of LIJN22, Lea Dijk and I designed a living object with which the public can interact.
Trapped. is an artwork which explores the relation between human and technology. The piece represents the entrapment of life into a technological dominance.
Through suffering light and sound, the wounded skin longs for touch.
Together with Lea Dijk, I worked on latex exploration, to create a piece which realistically represented a wounded piece of skin. We explored with various materials to create the desired effect.

Trapped. 2.0 Concept

We spent the next months developing a new concept which could actually be exhibited. Then we started working towards the final installation. Continuing to do various tests on how we could make the experience as immersive as possible, version 2.0 has become a life size experience.
Trapped was exhibited at the Highlight Delft festival in February, and Lea and I are currently exploring other possibilities for exhibiting the piece.
